With the "old" car having been chipped to more HP than this standard build, I had to do something to increase the power (of course for fuel economy reasons); The Tuning Box route was a little expensive and at the time, required a bit more wiring than simple plug and play so I went down the re-map route The engine doesn't seem to be as solid as the "old" 1.9 but whilst the the power is certainly there and it sticks to the road like glue, the 2.0 engine is higher revving and seems to have less low-rev torque - This is why my typical weekly drive returns a feeble 40mpg. If I don't drive like a crazy ass nut, I can get 45 to 48 but not a lot more Loads of Good Points including: Speed, agility and great fun to drive |
