I was working in Liverpool and the old VW Caravanette was eating too much fuel on its daily journeys from and to Nantwich.

This was a "cheap" car and was intended to provide me with cheap motoring. Bought 2nd hand, this car had previously been owned by a smoker (You would think perhaps a chimney if you were to look at the brown-yellow roof interior!!).

The estate format proved to be quite useful but after having changed the water pump the cylinder head gasket started to let a little water creep into the oil ... time to sell!!

There is something about a Vauxhaull, could it be the alternator whine - Buy a VW !!
